We have been assigned to serve as Senior Missionaries in the Military Relations department. What does this entail you might ask? Well, there are a number of things that we will be doing. Mostly this department supports Military Relations Missionaries throughout various locations where there are members either in the military or preparing to enter the military. There are many aspects to this which we will be learning about and as we can, will share more. Our assignment comes with a surprise that illustrates how the Lord knows where and when something should happen before it becomes known to those involved. During our first week, the manager of the department, Dan, admitted that he didn’t know what we and another couple assigned to him were supposed to do. Well, after we showed up, another couple who was already doing work for him, approached him to explain the urgent need for them to return home. This set things in motion for Sister Leonard and I to immediately begin the transition for us to start training on the things they were doing. We are to return to the Missionary Training Center (MTC) for two days in order to receive the training that all Military Relations Missionaries attend which we are looking forward to. I testify that the Lord knows all things before we do and that He is personally involved in this His church whose name it bares!
